§ We came to this world to LIVE OUT LOUD!
What to do when you wake up anxious
The other night I went to bed only to find myself unable to fall asleep as my mind raced through all the things I had to do. I then woke up at 4 am thinking about everything that was on my plate. And popped up at 5:30 am, still anxious and overwhelmed.
If you’re like most women, you too have been in this situation many times.
So how do you get out of it? And get back to inner peace and a feeling of spaciousness?
I’ve struggled with anxiety for over 30 years and have amassed many tools to deal with it.
So what I did when I found myself anxious and overwhelmed at 5:30 am, may surprise you. It’s counter-intuitive but it really works!
I made this video for you to share with you how I got out of overwhelm and how you can too. It’s contrary to what you are inclined to do, so make sure you check it out.
Check out the video and let me know what you think. Enjoy!

So much what I needed to hear today. My daughter is getting married Friday, I had the sleepless night last night…thank you for helping me stay calm today! 🙂
Happy to help! Enjoy this special moment with your daughter! Congratulations!
I know this feeling all too well. When I am most exhausted from stress it hits me the hardest. I fall asleep and wake up in a couple of hours at best. Thank you for the insight of how to manage these moments in life. Everything you said makes sense to me. I know that being quiet before the Lord has guided in directions I never dreamed of and it was always right for me in the right time. Your advice will be heeded by me. I’m excited to hear about this year’s summit. I know it will be amazing.
Thanks Jeanine! Try out these tips and let me know how it goes. xoxo
I have had so many of those nights of not being able to sleep because my mind is caught up in what I have to do-my huge to-do list. This doesn’t happen as often since I have retired but this is a wonderful idea. I have a habit even now of neglecting self care. I will remember to do this. Although I will start earlier than 4am so I can get some sleep.
Thank You, Natalie
Hi Karen, thanks for reaching out! Sounds like a good idea. Let me know how it goes. xoxo
