I know this feeling all too well. When I am most exhausted from stress it hits me the hardest. I fall asleep and wake up in a couple of hours at best. Thank you for the insight of how to manage these moments in life. Everything you said makes sense to me. I know that being quiet before the Lord has guided in directions I never dreamed of and it was always right for me in the right time. Your advice will be heeded by me. I have had so many of those nights of not being able to sleep because my mind is caught up in what I have to do-my huge to-do list. This doesn’t happen as often since I have retired but this is a wonderful idea. I have a habit even now of neglecting self care. I will remember to do this. Although I will start earlier than 4am so I can get some sleep.
