§ We came to this world to LIVE OUT LOUD.

My Dream Came True!

Oct 23, 2018

A couple of weeks ago, my dream came true. I led a workshop on manifesting abundance to a group of amazing women in the Colombian jungle.

We shared our deepest desires and made life altering decisions.

Women were inspired to start businesses and charge what they were worth for their services. One woman realized she had to have another baby.

I kicked off my flip-flops so I could be barefoot like the other women.

My 8-year old played with some local kids nearby as my 16-year old studied for her upcoming exams on the retreat center couch.

Twenty-some years ago as I sat in my navy-blue pantsuit and pantyhose in a windowless office in Washington DC, doing financial projections on an Excel spreadsheet, THIS WAS THE DREAM!

Freedom to do what I wanted, when I wanted and with whom I wanted.

I was giddy with excitement and with the fulfillment that comes from achieving deeply cherished dreams.

As I sit here in gratitude reflecting on my journey, I realize that the path to get here was a path of learning to care for myself and to honor my deepest needs and longing.

It was a path of learning to love myself.

It took many dark nights of the soul, lots of therapy and my fair share of trial and error as I took action to explore what I was discovering about myself.

The process has been never ending. I still pay close attention to where my heart is guiding me and to the adjustments I need to make in my life.

What about you? Where is your heart leading you? What adjustments do you need to make in your life?

Here’s a simple exercise (that I myself do every 6 months):

1. Step 1:

Pull out a sheet of paper and rate on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being “it sucks” and 10 being “I am rockin’ it!”) your level of fulfillment in the following categories –

  1. Self-care
  2. Spirituality
  3. Relationships
  4. Career
  5. Finances
  6. Environment (your home and other places you spend your time)
  7. Recreation and Adventure

2. Step 2:

For each category, write down what would make it a “10”.

3. Step 3:

Identify one action step for each category to get it to a “10” and DO IT!

As always, I love hearing from you so feel free to leave a comment below and let me know how it’s going.

Happy Tuesday!

xoxo,

  Natalie
