I don’t mean to be nagging you, I just know how busy you are and I also know that this quiz and understanding of archetypes can literally change your life and bring you tons of abundance.

Let me tell you how it worked for me:

By the time I took the quiz, I thought I had worked through the bulk of my mindset issues and limiting beliefs about money. Money seemed to be flowing into my life abundantly and all was well in my financial world.

Truth to tell, I took the course because I knew that many of my clients struggled with money issues and I wanted to have extra tools in my toolbox to help my clients.

I had no idea how much this would change my life!

I took the quiz and learned that my top 3 archetypes are: Accumulator (likes to save, good with managing money, can be overly frugal and get stressed about spending money), Connector (great with people, values people above money, may neglect dealing with money matters), and Alchemist (has great ideas that lead to making money, values making a difference more than making money, has a love/hate relationship with money).

A lot of stuff suddenly started to make sense!

The one that jumped out most at me however was how my Accumulator Archetype was great at saving and managing money but often felt guilty about spending money and was hesitant to invest in my business and in pleasures that could really improve the quality of my life.

I had my husband take the quiz and his Accumulator was even greater than mine! No wonder we never argue about money and have healthy savings.

But we got curious: how are we being cheap and not letting abundance flow into our lives?

The exercise for the accumulator is to live the question: if nothing would decrease your savings over the next 5 years, what would you be doing differently in your life?

We decided to take on the challenge and to LIVE the question.

We found out about Afest in Jamaica, an amazing application-only 5-day event for people who are changing the world. It was expensive. Certainly, more than we would normally spend on a getaway but we decided to go for it.

I guess it won’t surprise you to hear that Afest was better for our marriage that years of couple’s therapy. Personal growth workshops with amazing people by day and crazy, “haven’t had this much fun since college” parties by night. Need I say more?

Plus, that is where I crystalized the next stage of my purpose: to create a global community and academy for feminine wisdom and empowerment. Waooza! I am working on this project in the Spanish speaking world right now.

So, investing in Afest had huge returns but I didn’t stop there.

I hired a community manager and an accountant to do a lot of the grunt work I have been doing for years and free up my time to focus on the parts of my business that I love: teaching, coaching and writing. I can’t even begin to tell you how liberating it has been!

And then we had a real sign from the universe about the power of this work….

My husband invited me to the Galapagos, just the two of us. No kids. This has been a major bucket list trip!

A trip to the Galapagos isn’t cheap by definition but you can do it on more frugality or quite luxuriously. We decided to keep working the shadow sides of our Accumulator archetypes and go with a more luxurious option.

We both gulped and gave out credit card number. This was a couple of months ago.

A couple of weeks ago, we received an email, with an apology, letting us know that unfortunately our boat, which was to do her maiden voyage with our trip, will not be ready on time. We could therefore get our money back or we could have a VIP suite on another boat.

When we looked up the other boat, interestingly named “the Passion”, we realized that it is considered by many to be the most luxurious boat in the Galapagos, with a staff person for each passenger, hot towels after swimming in cold water, cool towels if it’s hot out, gourmet meals….

We just looked at it each other in awe, two Accumulators who couldn’t quite believe it – we are going on a super luxurious cruise to the Galapagos? Woo hoo!

And thank you Universe for sending us all this abundance! It’s great to have even more confirmation that if I do my part by doing the inner work, the universe does its part by letting abundance flow to me.
