§ We came to this world to LIVE OUT LOUD.

I’m going home after 20 years

Jul 22, 2017

I just had an amazing session with my shaman. Something huge is happening in my life this week and I wanted to be prepared energetically and spiritually.

I am going home…. not Colombia (where I currently live), nor Chicago (where I grew up from the age of 8 and went to high school), nor Washington DC (where I lived for 15 years, found myself and became a mama to my older girls) and not Boston (where I found many kindred spirits and my youngest was born).

I am going back to the Ukraine where I was born and raised until the age of 8.

This is a HUGE deal for me.

I haven’t been back in nearly 20 years.

And I’m taking my husband and 3 daughters to experience my homeland as I experience it for the first time with a truly open heart.

That’s what I did with my shaman today – I reconnected fully to my healed heart and felt the beauty and deep peace that comes from living there.

The armor which I used to wear to protect me served to get me to this point.

But I don’t need it anymore.

I took it off and felt the amazing joy and peace of living without, of being who I am, unencumbered by the weight.

I will now leave for Kiev on Thursday with an open heart – ready to revisit the apartment where we lived, my school, my grandma’s house, the cemeteries where my ancestors are buried, our family’s country home and the Dnieper River where we camped every summer.

I am excited to eat the foods of my childhood. (My kids, on the other hand, are less enthusiastic about all that sour cream and pickled everything.)

I can’t wait to relive it all with the family that I created.

WITH AN OPEN HEART!

So, what about you? Are you living with an open heart? Or are you protecting yourself with heavy armor? What do you need to let go of to go home with an open heart?

I would love to hear from you so leave your comments and thoughts below.

In light and love,

Natalie
