How I Got My Groove Back

Aug 14, 2018

You know how sometimes everything seems to be going ok but you have this nagging feeling that something is off? Something that’s making you lose confidence in yourself?

I’ve had that nagging feeling for the past couple of years and I knew what it was…

Living in a small town in Colombia had its charms but I often felt isolated… and I’M A PEOPLE PERSON (in case you couldn’t tell).

While I loved my amazing life with a slower pace of living, lots of travel, time to spend with my family and work that I loved, I often missed the daily interaction with people I could really connect with.

One of my super powers is connecting with people, deeply and powerfully or playfully and casually… but without the ability to practice my superpower on a daily basis, I felt off, low energy and even started to lose confidence in myself.

And then this summer happened!

Not only did I indulge in my favorite pastime, travel with my family, but I had two epic experiences – 2 weeks at Mindvalley U learning how to be an even better and more effective human being, mother and entrepreneur and a week in Plum Village, living mindfully in community with families around the world.

I connected with tons of people from around the world. I connected with some very deeply and we have stayed in touch ever since. I connected with others playfully and more superficially.

It was all good because I REMEMBERED WHO I WAS. I am a connector.

And now that I am back to Bogota (can I just tell you how excited I am to be living in a city of 8 million people?), I feel like I got my groove back. Everything is flowing. Interesting projects are emerging. I am laughing more.

I feel on top of my game.

All because I got to practice my superpower.

So, what about you? Do you know what your superpower is? Do you get to practice it on a daily basis?

If you don’t know what your superpower is, I strongly encourage to find out. Here are some questions to help you get started:

  1. What makes you happy and you would do even if you weren’t getting paid for it?
  2. What do people come to you for that is super easy for you yet really valuable to them?
  3. What would 5 people you know well say that your superpower is? Ask them.

And once you know, practice it daily if you don’t already. You will feel more and more powerful and awesome. Your confidence will soar. So will the powerful synchronicities in your life.

I would love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment below.

Happy Tuesday!

xoxo,

Natalie
