§ We came to this world to LIVE OUT LOUD!
How to Look Younger Naturally
A woman recently commented on an Instagram post of mine that she has been following me for a few years and that I seem to have way more passion and energy lately. She said that I even look younger than I did a few years ago.
I thanked her and then I started to reflect. The past few months have been some of the most stressful of my life. The Extraordinary Life After 40 summit I had put together was a major undertaking! I had no idea what I was getting into when I publicly declared that I was doing it (and thus had no way to back out) and there were times that I wondered what I had gotten myself into as I worked 16-hour days.
When the company I hired back in May to help me with the summit suddenly quit 2 weeks before the launch and I had to find a team and start everything from scratch, I thought I may have a nervous breakdown.
Two hours later, a colleague (who has since become a friend) stepped in to talk me down from the ledge and lent me her team until I could get mine together.
I love sisterhood!
Plus, truth to tell, these past few months have also been some of the most fulfilling in my life.
How could they not be?
1. I was learning new things
Everything from how to balance hormones and have better sex to how to manage all kinds of IT stuff. I felt vibrant and expansive! (And like I was definitely reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s with all these new neurons firing!).
2. I was growing as a leader and a person as I put together and managed a 6-person team spread out around the globe
There were moments that I wanted to break down in tears and others when I thought to myself, “You rock, girl! I can’t believe how far you’ve come in just a few weeks!“
3. I was connecting with amazing women on a daily basis
Do I even need to elaborate on the power of women connecting?
4. I felt well used (in the best sense of the word) and of deep service to others.
5. I felt like my gifts and talents, interests and passions came together to fulfill a need that women had to make the most of their lives after 40
I AM LIVING MY PURPOSE!
Here’s what I was reminded of yet again: living our passion and purpose isn’t always comfortable.
It may even be painful at times as we are forced to face our fears and grow beyond our self-imposed limits.
Yet it’s ultimately the most rewarding way to live!
It puts zest into our days, a spring into our step, builds self-confidence and makes life a glorious adventure!
Apparently, it can make us look younger also. Added bonus!
So what about you? Are you living your passions? Your purpose? Do you feel a zest for life?
As always, I love to hear from you so feel free to leave a comment below or get in touch at info@nataliematushenko.com.
Happy Tuesday!

Hello Natalie,
After 20 years spent at home bringing up my 3 daughters I am slowly but surely working towards pursing my carrier (at last!), I have just achieved my degree in psychology and master mindfulness practitioner. I am studying CBT and hypnotherapy and finally feeling that I can do something good and help others to live fulfilling lives. I do appreciate all the years spent with kids (filled both with joy and sometimes tears), and being able to watch them grow and become an adults. I am 44 and my youngest daughter will be 15 years old in few weeks, oldest is 21. It has been an amazing time but as everything in life has its time and place, it is now the time for me to expand too. I have truly enjoyed the summit, a job very well done! It has been a challenge for me to attend all lectures so I can only imagine what a challenge it was to put all those lovely women together. Learning about my money archetype was such a revelation for me. I am now managing and spending my money much more wisely (needless to say I am nurturer). Looking forward to the weekend and catching up on missed lectures:) Best wishes!
Hi Kay! Thanks for getting in touch! I really appreciate you sharing your story and so happy to hear that the summit was so helpful to you!Hope you got a chance to catch up on missed interviews. xoxo, Natalie
I have been working for our family business for 25 years – still love the job – but will need to retire next year (I am 65). I know I am not living my true purpose and still strive to find what it is. I have 5 children and 10 great grandchildren, I am divorced (after 27 years of marriage). I am involved as a treasurer in our Italian Club where I volunteer and find satisfaction in the involvement with this community. I find purpose in helping and responding on our sisterhood on TKS. I still however believe that I have a greater purpose in life and wish I could travel, explore the world, help communities where there is a need for education and growth yet I feel duty bound to my family, children and grandchildren and a mother who is 93 years of age. My one grandson lives with me and he is 14. I have been helping my daughter with his upbringing and education fees as he is a child from a failed relationship, she struggles financially and lives 1000 km from us and she is in another relationship and has another son. She depends on me as does my other daughter who I also support with school fees for her four children. At this stage, I do not know how they will manage once I retire and have limited income even for myself. I am very spiritual, was a religious teacher for over 10 years, found great fulfillment while I was teaching. The present church where I attend does not have a need for teachers, they have rejected my offer to help.
I wish to make a difference and make a valuable contribution to society. I am a qualified pre-school teacher but my forte is in administration, management, starting new ventures, project management. I am very spiritual and know there is a greater purpose awaiting me, just don’t know what or how to find it.
God bless you in your amazing work. Love your smile and calm and aura of peace.
Emilia
Hi Emilia! Thanks for getting in touch! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! Can’t help but wonder what it would mean for you to start putting YOURSELF first and allowing your grown children to take full responsibility for their own lives? At least enough for you to be able to “travel, explore the world, help communities where there is a need for education” for some of the time? These are the questions that come to my mind. Thanks for watching the summit! I am so glad that you got a lot out of it!
